Baltimore Substance Abuse Systems Connections newsletter, Spring 2006 issue
People who work in substance-abuse treatment have an incredibly challenging mission. It feels good to support their efforts by providing this publication, which offers information aimed at retaining, recognizing, rewarding and recruiting these dedicated professionals. For this newsletter, I created the design and format; I did more editing and revamping than original writing, although I did get to write most of the headlines.
(This newsletter is part of a training contract carried out by Health Management Consultants, whose CEO I met through another of my many networking happenstances - I had met her husband, who does HR consulting for small businesses, through work I did for an association serving HR professionals. His father turned out to have been a colleague of my dad's and we knew each other slightly as children. We reconnected at, of all places, his father's memorial service, just as she was preparing to bid on the training contract and its newsletter component.)
